About Me
I am James Dumbill, the founder of Salthill Training and Consulting, a business that I set up to continue doing what I have excelled at and enjoyed the most throughout my career- helping people grow and reach their potential.
I have a background in senior leadership across the public sector and education. With over nine years in senior HR roles within the Civil Service and 16 years as a school senior leader, I have a deep understanding of what it takes to lead effectively. I enjoy building genuine, collaborative relationships and developing teams that are focused on growth and high performance.
I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, hold a Post-Graduate Certification in Education and an ILM Level 7 accreditation in Executive Coaching & Mentoring, all of which contribute to my understanding of how people develop and flourish and how I can help them with that.
I have extensive experience of designing and developing learning interventions that make a tangible difference and that are engaging and fun. As a coach, I aim to make sure that coachees leave our conversations with practical next steps to help them overcome whatever challenges they are facing.
